Meri and Brett used to workout together in high school, then reconnected years later at the gym and have been together ever since. He proposed to her in their home gym back in April, and they transformed her parents backyard into a gorgeous ceremony space and reception venue. The two of them are so down to earth and had so many personal touches throughout their day. When she told me they were going to have a candlelit ceremony in the woods. I was so excited. It was so romantic. Meri had her brothers by her side which was so cool. She had all of her guests sign ornaments for their Christmas tree. Everyone was so kind and welcoming to me and my second shooter and we were all friends by the end of the night. Their guests had a great time and danced around getting covered in snow after their snow-machine sendoff.
After their wedding, on the way to Raleigh, David and I were diving out in the middle of nowhere and we had to stop and take some pictures on the side of the road in the middle of the night because the sky out there in rural, North Carolina had almost no light pollution and we could see the whole Milky Way.
